EBA LAUNCHES OWN POOL TABLE WITH PARTNERS HAINSWORTH
AND OPTIMA POOL
The European Blackball Association will launch its ultimate
competition pool table next month.
The ‘Optima Match Table’ has been created with the help of
partners Yorkshire textile mill Hainsworth and Manchester’s Optima Pool.
Over the past year, a series of prototype tables have been
manufactured and rigorously tested by top players from across the world at a series of national
and international events.
Forty of the new Optima Match Tables will be unveiled on
September 2nd at the EBA Nations Cup of Pool in The Gleneagle Hotel
in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland.
EBA Chairman Kevin Byrne said: “We’re delighted to be
unveiling our ultimate competition pool tables. We’ve had input from some of
the top players in the UK and Europe and the new tables provide players with a
unique playing experience that allows them to demonstrate their skills to the
fullest extent.
“The tables have been designed for competition play and are
suitable for all standards of players up to and including International
standard.”
There are a number of tables in the EBA range which are
available for international tournaments, as well as for coin or home use.
Each has been manufactured using the finest materials with a
laminated top frame and cabinet and solid timber polished legs complete with
chrome trims. With an Italian slate-bed base – the best quality slate in the
world - the tables are built to last, all play identically and are also readily
transportable.
The tables have been handmade in Manchester by Optima Pool,
the leading UK manufacturer of championship quality English pool tables for
both trade and home.
Each table is covered with Hainsworth’s Match tournament
cloth, a cloth that delivers a professional playing experience. Tightly woven
from the finest yarns, the cloth provides spectacular speed and cue ball
control with high levels of durability.
Hainsworth Marketing Manager Julie Greenough said: “Our

the development of the EBA’s Optima Match Table and we’re looking forward to
seeing the tables being played on for the first time at the tournament.”
